Healing from Childhood Trauma
A complete clinical resource on childhood trauma, its lasting effects, and the path to genuine healing.
The Clinical Perspective
Childhood trauma does not always look like what we expect. It is not only abuse or neglect in their most obvious forms. It is also the household where emotions were not allowed, the parent who was physically present but emotionally absent, the childhood where you learned to be small, or perfect, or invisible, in order to stay safe.
The effects of childhood trauma are not limited to the past. They live in the body, in the nervous system, in the patterns of relationship and self-perception that we carry into adulthood. They show up as anxiety, as perfectionism, as the inability to rest, as the relationships that never quite feel safe enough.
Healing is possible. But it requires more than understanding what happened — it requires working at the level where the trauma is actually stored.
