1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy is issued by Annie Wright LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Annie Wright LLC operates anniewright.com, publishes the website and newsletter, offers courses and coaching, and operates Search Annie’s Writing. It is not a clinical practice and does not provide therapy.
Annie Wright Marriage and Family Therapy, P.A. is a separate clinical practice. Its clinical services, treatment records, and therapy billing are governed by the practice’s own agreements and Notice of Privacy Practices. This policy does not govern them.
If you send a therapy inquiry through this website, this policy applies to the website handling of the inquiry before it reaches the P.A.’s intake process. Once the inquiry is handled as a clinical intake by the P.A., the practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices applies.

3. Information we collect, why we collect it, and retention

We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, or payment-card numbers. Please do not send detailed clinical history, diagnoses, medication lists, or crisis details through an ordinary web form.
4. Sensitive and consumer health data
On a website about mental health, the pages you read, a therapy inquiry, course enrollment, and information you enter in Search Annie’s Writing may reveal health-related interests or circumstances. We treat this as sensitive information. The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy provides additional information and rights.
Where consent is required for analytics or similar optional technologies, we ask for it through Cookie Preferences. Acceptance of these terms or continued browsing is not consent to optional tracking.

We may disclose information when a valid legal process requires it or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect safety or prevent serious harm.
6. No sale or cross-context behavioral advertising
We do not sell your personal information or consumer health data. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Advertising pixels have been removed from this site.
Browser-level opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, are not yet detected automatically. To make a privacy choice or request manually, use Cookie Preferences or email support@anniewright.com.
7. Therapy inquiries
A website contact form is not a secure clinical channel. If you inquire about therapy, send only the information needed to ask for contact. Do not send detailed clinical history, diagnoses, medication lists, or crisis information through the form. Once the P.A. treats an inquiry as a clinical intake, its Notice of Privacy Practices applies.
8. Your privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your information, withdraw consent, object to direct marketing, or ask about our processing. You may also ask for information about consumer health data. Use the Data Rights Request page or email support@anniewright.com. We do not charge for a request or require an account to make one.
We respond within the deadline required by applicable law. For many United States privacy requests this is 45 days, with one permitted extension where applicable. For GDPR and UK GDPR requests, we generally respond within one month. We provide an appeal process described on the Data Rights Request page.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate. We do not represent that a particular contractual transfer mechanism or data-processing agreement is in place with every provider. Contact us if you have a question about a particular transfer.
10. Security and incidents
We use measures intended to protect information, including encryption in transit, access restrictions, two-factor authentication for administrative accounts, software updates, malware scanning, and backups. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. We will provide notices of a security incident when required by applicable law.
11. Children and Search Annie’s Writing
The website is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. Search Annie’s Writing is for adults age 18 and older. It uses a neutral month-and-year age screen and blocks access by people under 18.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. Material changes to data use, vendors, or crisis handling will be posted with a new effective date and, where we have an email address for an affected user, sent by email. Where a change requires consent, we will request it separately.
