Press & media
I’m Annie Wright, a licensed psychotherapist, author and founder who comments on relational trauma, family estrangement, and the complicated relationship between ambition and emotional survival. My work also examines how these patterns intersect with entrepreneurship, wealth, inheritance and technological change.
Alongside my clinical work, I founded, scaled and sold a multimillion-dollar, multi-state mental health company. That experience informs my commentary on leadership, achievement and identity.

Areas of commentary
My focus is psychological and relational: what people are experiencing, the context around it and what we can responsibly say about it.
The writing behind the commentary
My writing explores the places where outward success and private experience don’t match: the person who loves their work but can’t stop, the adult child grieving a parent who is still alive, the inheritance that reopens an old wound.
For a closer look at my perspective, read Am I Addicted to Achievement or Just Driven? or When the Family Inheritance Becomes the Final Betrayal. These are my own articles, separate from the reporting and interviews in the archive.

For journalists & producers
Send the subject you’re covering, your publication or program, your deadline and the format you have in mind. I can discuss the psychological and relational questions behind a story without speculating about the diagnosis or private life of someone I haven’t assessed.
If you need a headshot, current bio or speaking information, include that too. We can discuss availability and the materials that fit your project.
