The Estrogen-Thyroid Connection

A resting heart rate that’s persistently very fast or irregular, a noticeable new swelling at the base of your neck, unexplained and significant weight loss or gain over a short period, chest pain, a resting heart rate that’s unusually slow alongside severe fatigue, or any sudden, severe change in your mental clarity or mood are reasons to contact a medical provider sooner rather than later. So is any new or worsening symptom that feels different in kind, not only in degree. None of this list is exhaustive, and none of it replaces your own clinician’s judgment. It exists so you have a general sense of when “let’s monitor this” should become “let’s be seen this week.”
