- Sale & Exit: Within 6 years of launching, I successfully sold and exited Evergreen while remaining on as CEO.
- Clinical Expertise: As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), EMDR-certified clinician, and relational trauma specialist, I charge $450/hour for my clinical work and maintain a full caseload.
- Media & Publishing: My insights have been featured in Forbes, NBC, Insider, and more. I also have a forthcoming book deal with W.W. Norton (launching in 2026).

About Annie Wright, LMFT:
Annie Wright is a licensed psychotherapist, EMDR-certified clinician, and relational trauma recovery specialist who is passionately committed to helping adults from less-than-ideal childhoods create the fulfilling adulthoods they desire. She founded Evergreen Counseling—a boutique, trauma-informed therapy center in Berkeley, California—when her daughter was just three months old. Over the course of five years, Annie scaled Evergreen from a solo practice into a multi-million-dollar, private pay group practice with a team of 18+ trauma-informed clinicians and a four-member operations team. Collectively, they serve approximately 450 clients every week.
In 2025, Annie successfully sold Evergreen Counseling, remaining on as CEO to continue guiding the organization’s growth and impact. In addition to her direct clinical work, Annie also developed an online course called Hard Families, Good Boundaries, a transformative video-based program helping individuals navigate challenging family dynamics. Beyond this, she’s a prolific essayist whose blog attracts 20–30K monthly readers seeking tools and information for trauma recovery. And in 2026, Annie will publish her first book with the esteemed W.W. Norton. Through each endeavor—clinical work, writing, teaching, and mentorship—Annie’s mission remains the same: to help ambitious, high-performing individuals heal their pasts and build the thriving lives they truly deserve.
