Course Terms & Disclaimer
Effective: August 21, 2026 · Version 1.3
A note before the formal language. I’ve written this as plainly as I know how, because you deserve to know exactly what you’re buying, not just what a lawyer would want me to say. Please read it before you enroll. It matters, and it’s short. By completing payment, you’re agreeing to them.
These terms apply to every course, workbook, and digital program sold on this site.
1. Who you’re buying from
Courses, workbooks, and related digital materials on this site are sold by Annie Wright LLC. Annie Wright LLC is not a clinical practice and does not provide therapy. Annie Wright Marriage and Family Therapy, P.A., the clinical practice, is a separate entity, is not a party to these terms, and has no involvement in this purchase.
2. What this course is
This is a self-paced educational course. It consists of pre-recorded video lessons and written materials, built on established clinical research into trauma, attachment, and personality pathology.
It is education. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, psychiatric care, diagnosis, assessment, or a treatment plan. It contains no individualized evaluation of you, your history, your symptoms, or your circumstances, and nothing in it has been tailored to your situation.
3. No therapist-client relationship
Purchasing, enrolling in, watching, downloading, or completing any part of a course, including the workbook exercises, does not create a therapist-client relationship, a patient relationship, or any clinical or professional relationship between you and Annie Wright or Annie Wright LLC.
I’m not your therapist through this course. That’s true even if I am your therapist elsewhere, and it’s true even if you’ve worked with me before.
A therapist-client relationship with me is created only through a signed informed consent agreement and an explicit agreement to enter treatment. None of that happens here.
No clinical record is created by your participation. Nothing you write in a workbook exercise comes back to me, and it isn’t protected the way what you say in a therapy session is protected. HIPAA does not apply to this purchase or to anything you record in these materials. Please use your own judgment about what you write down and where you keep it.
As of the effective date above, I’m licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 14 U.S. jurisdictions, including Colorado for telehealth only, and registered as an out-of-state telehealth provider in Florida under Florida Statute 456.47: California, Colorado (telehealth only), Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. I am not acting in that licensed clinical capacity when I deliver a course to you, in any jurisdiction.
4. This course does not diagnose anyone, including anyone else
Nothing in this course is a diagnosis, clinical assessment, or professional opinion about you, or about any other person in your life, including a partner, former partner, co-parent, or family member.
I have not evaluated anyone in your life. I express no opinion about any of them. The frameworks in this course exist to help you understand your own experience.
They are not evidence. They are not an expert opinion. They should not be submitted, quoted, filed, or characterized as a clinical assessment or diagnosis of any person in any legal, custody, employment, or administrative proceeding. If you’re making legal decisions, please work with your own attorney.
5. This is not crisis or emergency care
These courses were not built for an emergency and should never be used in place of one. If you’re in danger or in crisis right now, please stop and get help immediately.
- Anywhere, in a life-threatening emergency: contact your local emergency number.
- Outside the United States: findahelpline.com lists crisis lines by country.
- In the United States: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
- If you’re in danger from another person: the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788. DomesticShelters.org can connect you to local resources.
6. What this course can’t promise
Every person’s history, situation, and nervous system are different, and I can’t know yours through a pre-recorded course. I make no guarantee that a course will produce any particular result, resolve any particular symptom, or work on any particular timeline. Results described anywhere on this site are not typical, and individual outcomes vary.
Part of what these courses teach is how to recognize when self-paced learning is enough and when it isn’t. If you reach that recognition, please take it seriously and find a licensed therapist where you live.
7. Client stories
Every client example in these materials is a composite, drawn from patterns across years of clinical work, with identifying details changed or invented. No story is any single identifiable person’s history.
8. What you may and may not do with the materials
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the course materials for your own individual use, for as long as the course remains available.
You may not share, resell, sublicense, distribute, publish, post, stream, or publicly display the materials. You may not share your login. You may not reproduce or adapt a workbook, in whole or in part, for any purpose beyond your own personal use.
You may not use these materials in your own professional practice, group program, supervision, training, or paid work with clients, whether or not you charge for it, without a separate written license from Annie Wright LLC. If you’re a clinician or coach and you’d like to use this material with the people you work with, please write to support@anniewright.com. The answer is often yes, and it needs to be in writing.
All course content, including videos, written materials, workbooks, frameworks, and the names of those frameworks, remains the property of Annie Wright LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
9. Price, payment plans, and refunds
The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. It is either a single payment of $1,997 or three monthly payments of $699. The exact amount, number, and timing of payments is shown at checkout and repeated in your receipt.
Fourteen-day refund window. You have fourteen days from the date of purchase to request a full refund, for any reason. Write to support@anniewright.com. You don’t need to give a reason, and how much of the course you have worked through makes no difference to your eligibility. Refunds are returned to the card or account you paid with, and usually appear within seven to ten business days.
After fourteen days, sales are final. That’s because you get complete, immediate, permanent access to everything the moment you enroll, so there’s nothing to return.
Payment plans. If you choose the three-payment plan, the fourteen-day window runs from your first payment, the same as it does for a single payment. Request a refund inside that window and the plan ends and your first payment is returned. After fourteen days, every scheduled payment is due, because you already have full access to all the materials. If a scheduled payment fails, the platform retries it on day three, day seven, and day fourteen. If all attempts fail, access ends. Write to support if a card needs updating and we’ll sort it out rather than let access lapse.
What a refund does. A refund ends your enrollment and ends the license granted in section 8. You must stop using, and delete, any materials you downloaded. If you’re on a payment plan, the plan is canceled at the same time and no further payments are taken.
If you’re purchasing from the European Union or the United Kingdom: consumer law in your country normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. The fourteen-day refund window above gives you that period in full, and you are not asked to waive it. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory right you hold that can’t be waived under the law of your country.
10. Support
These are self-paced courses. They don’t include individual therapy, coaching, consultation, feedback on your work, or personal correspondence with me. For questions about access, billing, or technical problems, write to support@anniewright.com.
11. As is, and limitation of liability
The courses, workbooks, and all related materials are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Annie Wright nor Annie Wright LLC will be liable for any decision you make, action you take, or outcome you experience based on a course, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you actually paid for the course.
This isn’t meant to sound cold. It’s meant to be honest about the difference between what an educational course can responsibly offer and what individual clinical care requires.
12. You take responsibility for how you use this
You’re responsible for how you apply what you learn here, including any decision you make about a relationship, your safety, your family, your work, or any legal matter. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Annie Wright and Annie Wright LLC from claims arising out of your use of the materials or your breach of these terms.
13. Other terms that apply
Your purchase is also governed by the Terms of Service, the Medical Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy. Where those documents and these course terms conflict, these course terms control for your course purchase.
Course delivery, checkout, and email run through third-party platforms, including Teachable, Stripe, and ActiveCampaign. Their handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
I may update these terms going forward. Changes take effect when posted with a new effective date, and they don’t change the terms that applied to a purchase you already made.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If any provision here is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
16. Questions
If anything here is unclear, please write to support@anniewright.com before you enroll, not after.
17. Additional terms, added in Version 1.1
Version 1.1, effective July 30, 2026. This section supplements the sections above. Where it conflicts with anything above, this section controls.
The seller. Annie Wright LLC is a Delaware limited liability company with its principal place of business at 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, DE 19901, United States. No professional license held by Annie Wright is exercised, invoked, or represented in the sale, marketing, or delivery of a course, in any jurisdiction.
Negligence. The limitation of liability in section 11 applies to claims of every kind, including claims based on negligence. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Annie Wright and Annie Wright LLC from liability for ordinary negligence in connection with the courses and materials. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, recklessness, willful misconduct, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited or released under applicable law.
This is not a confidential space. Because I hold clinical licenses, legal duties to report certain information can attach to me by virtue of my profession, and those duties do not necessarily depend on whether a therapist-client relationship exists. If a message you send to me or to course support discloses current abuse or neglect of a child, an elder, or a dependent adult, or a serious threat of harm to an identifiable person, I may be legally required to report it, and I may act on that obligation. In plain terms: please know that before you write to us, not after.
No arbitration, and no class-action waiver. Nothing in these terms requires you to arbitrate any dispute, and nothing in these terms asks you to waive your right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. You may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court in any venue where you are entitled to do so. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where that right cannot be waived by agreement.
Additional crisis lines. United Kingdom: Samaritans 116 123, and the Refuge National Domestic Abuse Helpline 0808 2000 247. Canada: Suicide Crisis Helpline 9-8-8. Australia: Lifeline 13 11 14, and 1800RESPECT 1800 737 732. Anywhere else: findahelpline.com lists verified crisis lines by country.

18. How you accept these terms
Version 1.3, effective August 21, 2026.
You accept these terms by ticking the consent box at checkout and completing payment. That box is required. You can’t buy the course without it.
The terms that apply to your purchase are the version posted on the effective date shown at the top of this document on the day you buy. If I change these terms later, the change applies going forward and does not alter the terms of a purchase you already made.
Checkout and course delivery for this course run through Teachable, which collects payment as my limited payment collection agent and, in jurisdictions where tax law requires it, calculates, collects and remits sales tax or VAT. Card payments are processed by Stripe. PayPal is available for purchases in US dollars. Email runs through ActiveCampaign. Your receipt comes from Teachable and records the date, the amount, and the plan you chose.
If you’d like a copy of the version of these terms that applied on the day you bought, write to support@anniewright.com and I’ll send it.
19. Changes made in Version 1.3
Version 1.3, effective August 21, 2026.
Section 9 was rewritten. The previous version said all sales were final and non-refundable, and asked buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom to waive the statutory fourteen-day withdrawal right in exchange for immediate access. This version gives every buyer, everywhere, a fourteen-day full refund window from the date of purchase, and no longer asks anyone to waive anything. Section 9 now also explains what happens to a payment plan on refund, and what happens if a scheduled payment fails.
Section 18 was updated to describe Teachable’s role in collecting payment and handling sales tax and VAT, and to note that PayPal is available for purchases in US dollars.
Section 18 governs which version of these terms applies to a purchase. As an exception to it, the fourteen-day refund window in section 9 will be honored for any purchase of this course made on or after the day these terms took effect.
With warmth and clinical respect,
Annie
