If you are in immediate danger
Reach a person now. In the United States, call or text 988, call 911, or text HOME to 741741. Outside the United States, contact your local emergency number or find a crisis line at findahelpline.com.
Additional United States resources include the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, RAINN at 1-800-656-4673, and Childhelp at 1-800-422-4453.
How Search Annie’s Writing responds to crisis language
This protocol applies to Search Annie’s Writing, operated by Annie Wright LLC. It does not describe clinical care. If you are a therapy client of Annie Wright Marriage and Family Therapy, P.A., your clinical care is governed by your treatment agreement and the practice’s procedures.
No human reads Tool conversations in real time. The Tool cannot call 911 or 988, contact a crisis line, contact your therapist or family, start a welfare check, or follow up with you. It does not assess your risk, diagnose you, create a safety plan, or provide crisis counseling.
The Tool may look for words or phrases that indicate self-harm, suicide, immediate danger, violence, or possible harm to a child or dependent adult. This is language matching, not emotion detection, mental-state inference, or clinical risk scoring. It may miss important context or surface crisis resources when they are not needed.
What happens when crisis language is detected
- The crisis response replaces the normal answer for that turn.
- The Tool identifies itself as artificial intelligence and provides crisis resources.
- The Tool does not promote a course, coaching, newsletter, or another paid offering in a crisis interaction.
- The Tool may continue to display crisis resources if crisis language appears again.
An automated crisis message is a route to human help, not a rescue or clinical assessment. Do not treat the absence of a crisis message as an indication that you are safe.
Data and review
Crisis-flagged conversations are not used for advertising, audience building, email segmentation, or sale. Crisis-flagged Search Annie’s Writing conversations are retained for 90 days, with human review within 7 days of the flag, then deleted. Ordinary Search Annie’s Writing conversations are retained for 12 months, then deleted.
Annie Wright reviews this protocol quarterly and records the review in a one-page log. A sample of crisis-flagged interactions is reviewed against this protocol. Crisis resources are checked at each review. If the Tool’s behavior differs from this page, the Tool or this page will be corrected promptly.
Confidentiality and reporting
Search Annie’s Writing is not confidential, privileged, or a HIPAA-protected space. Do not use it to disclose ongoing abuse, detailed clinical information, or a specific threat. If information reaches Annie Wright personally through another channel and a legal reporting duty applies, she may be required to report it.
